The design idea of this work is derived from the concept of "Tianyuan Difang," which combines the knowledge of change and trend from Chinese Taoism with the ideal realm of Chinese Confucian personality cultivation. The circular shape represents the wisdom of Taoism, while the square shape symbolizes the ideal realm of Confucianism. The combination of these two elements reflects the main spirit of Chinese traditional culture.
The Balitai Branch Center covers an area of approximately 375 square meters and features a variety of design elements. Green plants, trees, and wooden columns create a harmonious and natural atmosphere, while a silver electroplating chandelier and a wood and metal ceiling add elegance to the space. Nanometer electrified glass and customized leather sofas enhance the overall aesthetic appeal.
Entering the first floor of Balitai, visitors are greeted by a sense of harmony with nature. The wooden columns, hanging from the ceiling to the ground, exude a strong and indomitable character. The cobblestone flooring beneath the columns, along with the soft lighting, creates a serene and natural ambiance.
The design process involved multiple iterations and constant communication with the client to ensure that the final design captured the essence of the Balitai shop. In addition to the design phase, the project also included floor transformation, coordination with the fire department, product production, on-site decoration, and selection of soft furnishings.
The Balitai Branch Center project started in March 2018 and was completed in February 2019 in Tianjin. The design team faced the challenge of expressing the beauty and uniqueness of the shop while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. Through careful attention to detail and a focus on customer service, Ke Luo successfully created a space that combines functionality with aesthetic appeal.
This design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. The award recognizes designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills and contribute to improving the quality of life. Ke Luo's design for the Balitai Branch Center truly embodies these qualities, making it a deserving recipient of this prestigious accolade.
